Pop Icons Placed into Vintage Ads

David Redon, art director from Paris, France, mixed some great old American advertisement with modern singers and musicians under title “Ads Libitum”. His clever vintage posters include many known stars such as Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Beyoncé, Amy Whinehouse and many others. “I like the shift between vintage and modern pop culture, because these days the border between art and commercial is very small, and artists work their images like brands do. I started working on this project last summer, but it started to buzz maybe two months ago. It takes me one or two hours to create an ad. I search for the… Read more »

Amazing iPhone Photography by Sam Alive

Sam Alive , freelance photographer from New York City, came out with a great project called “Through the Phone”. Al the images were taken with a digital lens while the iPhone was used to capture landscapes in focus. Many of pictures are recognizable such as Golden Gate Bridge, New York city skyline, Brooklyn Bridge. Their beauty is even more powerful due to the blurry frame accent. The whole project carries the theme of awesome shots spread around our daily walks, roads to work, sometimes unnoticed yet so breathtaking if appreciated.

Real Art of Baking

Any baking lovers here? Me personally find baking as a way of meditation with a lovely and tasty outcome in the end. As an amateur time spending it requires some kind of inspiration. This video is definitely one of it. It was done by Proximity BBDO and two directors from Le Potager as a commercial for French coffee brand Carte Noir. Real art of baking not less. Each move is hypnotic and the result is a masterpiece. Check out Carte Noir’s website for more recipe details on this little delicious pastry and for few more tasty videos.

Awesome Dad Making Creative Lunchboxes for His Daughter

This amazing food art was created by full-time job father of three Beau Coffron from San Francisco. He considers his lunch box preparing time as his fun activity as sports and TV is for other people. Beau, known online as Lunchbox dad, makes these full of love and edible characters boxes for his first-grader daughter. Not only they have fun together laughing and cherishing her favorite books and TV characters, but actually this hobby brought Coffron closer to his kid, as he found himself knowing more about his daughter’s interests as well as he was able to show her his love while she’s at school…. Intelligent Illustrations of Renowned Architects Through Their Design Style

Italian artist Federico Babina accomplished a powerful project called “ARCHI-PORTRAIT” dedicated to coryphaei of architecture and their outstanding work. Each illustration has a portrait of an architect created out of his most significant buildings and other design components incorporated as face parts. Simplicity of lines and brightness of colors emphasizes the character of each architect and spotlights their unique styles.

Coffee Illustrations by Liv Buranday

Liv Buranday is an artist from Philippines who twists the meaning of coffee grounds. She uses it as the medium for her smart art works. All the illustrations are done with a help of a toothpick and sometimes garnished with other objects like leaves, berries, flowers and so on for an extra 3D effect. Feels like some kind of a way to meditate while inhaling the smell of one of the tastiest things in the world. Buranday publishes all her creations on the Instagram under the name livscreams. This style of art reminded me of the dirt art by Sarah Rosado previously published here.  … Read more »
